1. INTRODUCTION
Stock Market Scouts, LLC ("Stock Market Scouts," "SMS," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application, our websites, and related services (collectively, the "Services").
By downloading, installing, or using the Stock Market Scouts mobile application (the "App"), or by using our websites, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with these practices, please do not use the Services.

2. GEOGRAPHIC SCOPE
The Services are offered in the United States only, are intended for use by residents of the United States, and are operated and hosted in the United States. The App is distributed through the United States storefronts of the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.
The Services are not directed to, and we do not knowingly offer them to, residents of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or other jurisdictions outside the United States. If you access our websites from outside the United States, you do so on your own initiative, your information will be processed in the United States, and you are responsible for compliance with your local law.

3. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
3.1 Information You Provide
We may collect information that you voluntarily provide when using the Services, including:
Account Information: Email address and password when you create an account.
Communication Data: Information you provide when you contact us for support or feedback.
3.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you use the App, certain information may be collected automatically, including:
Device Information: Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information.
Usage Data: How you interact with the App, including features accessed, articles read, audio played, lessons started and completed, articles you save, time spent in the App, and navigation patterns.
Log Data: IP address, approximate location derived from IP address, access times, app crashes, and system activity.
3.3 Information from Third-Party Services
If you subscribe to premium content through in-app purchase, transaction and subscription data is processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We receive limited information from these platforms to verify your subscription status, but we do not have access to your full payment details, such as credit card numbers.
3.4 Information We Do Not Collect
We do not ask for and do not collect your Social Security number, government identification numbers, bank account or brokerage account numbers, account balances, holdings, trades, or any other information about your personal finances or portfolio. The Services do not connect to, read from, or transact with any brokerage or financial institution.

4. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
To Provide the Services: Deliver content, manage your account, track your progress through the curriculum, and process subscriptions.
To Improve the Services: Analyze usage patterns to enhance features, content, and user experience.
To Communicate with You: Send service-related notifications, respond to inquiries, and provide customer support.
To Send Promotional Content: With your consent, send updates about new features, content, or offerings. You may opt out at any time.
To Ensure Security: Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or unauthorized access.
To Comply with Legal Obligations: Respond to legal requests and enforce our Terms of Use.

5. HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We may share your information in the following circumstances:
5.1 Service Providers
We work with third-party companies that help us operate and improve the Services. These providers have access to your information only to perform specific tasks on our behalf and are obligated to protect your data. Our service providers include:

• Firebase (Google): Authentication, analytics, push notifications, and app performance monitoring.

• RevenueCat: Subscription management and in-app purchase processing.

• Supabase: Database and backend services.

• Apple and Google: In-app purchase processing and subscription management through their respective app stores.

• Wix: Hosting and analytics for our websites.

5.2 Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required by law, legal process, or government request, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to:

• Comply with applicable laws or regulations;

• Protect the rights, property, or safety of SMS, our users, or others;

• Enforce our Terms of Use; or

• Respond to claims that content violates the rights of third parties.

5.3 Business Transfers
If SMS is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any change in ownership or use of your personal information.

We have not sold or shared any of the above categories in the preceding twelve months, and we do not sell or share the personal information of any user, including users we know to be under 16.

7. DATA RETENTION
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services. We may also retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes, such as resolving disputes or enforcing our agreements.
If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable timeframe, except where retention is required by law. Aggregated or de-identified data that cannot reasonably be used to identify you may be retained indefinitely.

8. DATA SECURITY
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for any activity that occurs under your account.

9. YOUR CHOICES
9.1 Account Information
You may update or correct your account information at any time through your account settings within the App, or by contacting us at support@stockmarketscouts.com.
9.2 Push Notifications
You may opt out of push notifications by adjusting your device settings or the notification preferences within the App.
9.3 Promotional Communications
You may opt out of promotional emails by clicking the unsubscribe link in any promotional email or by contacting us directly. Opting out of promotional communications does not affect service-related messages.
9.4 Device-Level Controls
You may limit certain automatic collection through your device settings, including resetting or limiting your advertising identifier and disabling analytics sharing where your operating system provides that option.

10. UNITED STATES PRIVACY RIGHTS
Depending on where you live, state law may give you specific rights over your personal information. We extend the rights below to all users in the United States, regardless of state.
10.1 Your Rights
Right to Know and Access. Request confirmation of whether we process your personal information, and a copy of the personal information we hold about you, including the categories collected, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of recipients.
Right to Correct. Request correction of inaccurate personal information.
Right to Delete. Request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal exceptions.
Right to Portability. Request a copy of your personal information in a portable, machine-readable format.
Right to Opt Out of Sale or Sharing. We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of. If that ever changes, we will update this policy and provide a clear opt-out mechanism before the change takes effect.
Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information. We do not collect sensitive personal information as defined under California law.
Right to Non-Discrimination. We will not deny you Services, charge you a different price, or provide you a different level of service because you exercised any of these rights.
10.2 How to Exercise Your Rights
Email support@stockmarketscouts.com with the request you are making. We may need to verify your identity before processing a request, which we will generally do by confirming control of the email address associated with your account. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law, generally 45 days, and will tell you if we need more time.
An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with written proof of authorization.
10.3 Opt-Out Preference Signals
Where required by law, we honor browser-based opt-out preference signals, including Global Privacy Control (GPC), on our websites.
10.4 California Shine the Light
California Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits California residents to request information about disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.

11. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
The Services are not intended for or directed to anyone under the age of 18, and our Terms of Use require users to be at least 18 years old.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Consistent with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 under any circumstances.
If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a person under 18, we will take steps to delete that information as soon as possible. If you believe we have collected information from a minor, contact us at support@stockmarketscouts.com.

12. THIRD-PARTY LINKS
The Services may contain links to third-party websites or services that we do not operate. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any third-party service you access.

13. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make material changes, we will update the Effective Date at the top of this policy and notify you through the App or by email.
Your continued use of the Services after any change constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
